There was a very long season of my life where I stopped reading completely.

And then one day, I picked up a mafia romance book (IYKYK) and something in me woke back up.

From there, I fell headfirst into romantasy and as you can see... the rest is history.

But the truth behind Nox & Novel runs deeper than just falling back in love with books.

My reading obsession was born from grief. After losing my daughter due to an accident during a surgical procedure, my entire world shifted overnight. I went from being a full-time caretaker to a medically complex child—living in a constant state of urgency and fight-or-flight—to a quiet that felt almost unfamiliar.

I still have my husband and my sons, and they are my world. But the intensity of being the sole caretaker for a medically complex child is something that changes you. And when that suddenly stops… there’s a space left behind that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.

Life didn't stop though. My boys still went off to school. My husband to work. But my day-to-day was completely overturned.

Books became my refuge in the chaos that is grief.

They gave me somewhere to place my feelings that were so very big. Somewhere to exist when reality felt too heavy. Page by page, story by story—they helped me breathe again.

Nox & Novel was built from that place.

Every book, every bundle, every detail you see here is something I genuinely love—stories that pulled me in, held me together, and reminded me that even in darkness, there is still beauty, still connection, still hope.

I am so incredibly grateful to share this space with you.
